Vic and Rob

Vic and Rob. Such a lovely couple, an absolute pleasure to photograph their wedding. At King Parrot Cottages in the Otways. They wanted an outdoors feel to their wedding and they executed it beautifully.  We covered a lot of ground considering it was a 45min shoot time! I am pretty happy with these photos.  :)

I recently interviewed Rosalind about her time living on the Bellarine Peninsula and how she has done extensive revegetation works on her farm.  A very inspiring woman and we will have a short video on her soon.

It's been a long journey (5 years in the making) to produce Little Ripper - Fast, Feathered and Fearless.

“Little Ripper” follows a cast of passionate and somewhat eccentric characters across the globe in search of triumph fame and fortune. Breading and racing pigeons is a life commitment, the award winning character-driven narrative feature length documentary from the Boord brothers.

Huge storm cloud

I grabbed my camera and quickly searched for an open space for this shot. The cloud just 'exploded' so quickly. It was all over in 10mins.

At the start of the year I did a photo shoot for the Department of Education.

Here is the link to the final publication. 95% of the photos are mine. A couple of them are not.

Recently returned from a trip up to Far North Queensland.  We drove from Ocean Grove, so it was a long time in the car.  I managed to fill up about 4x32gb memory cards on the trip.  Not bad... Although, it was mostly video. I will share a few pics from the trip. Here are few to start with and I will gradually add more as I go. Enjoy.

Can you guess what it is?  This is a time lapse photo of a road train passing through from left to right on a dusty road in the outback.  Freezing temperatures even up there! You can see the milky way very clearly in this shot. No photoshopping here. 168 second exposure,  f2.8 at ISO400. Fisheye lens. (Thats why its curved)

Boabab tree.  We travelled through a very short section of Boabab trees near longreach. That was the last of them we saw. Weird how there was such a small group of them.  I have used a fish-eye lens here to accentuate the incredible bulge these trees have.

Little old pub in Wyandra. I just like the light falling on the pub in this shot in a small country town, these pubs nearly always look nicer on the outside....

These are lava tubes in Undara. Incredible structures caused by volcanic eruptions. Not a really amazing photo, but quite an amazing piece of geology!

Gotta love the dusty road trains up there!

More photos to come soon....

Lake Elizabeth

Lake Elizabeth.
If you are ever near Forrest or just want to go for a fanstastic day walk, Lake Elizabeth is amazing! It's a very well made track and although the sign says the 4km walk around the lake takes 4 hours, you would have to have a broken leg to take that long, We took around 1.5 hours with a fair few stops to look at the platypus swimming. Yep, there are plenty in there and a really sheltered beautiful lake.  It seems strange that there are even platypus in there as it's so far out of the way and such a little lake with no major stream or river entering it.
The water is very glassy and the surrounding bushland is full of huge mountain ash and the ground is covered in tree ferns.
When you finish this beautiful walk you can drive up the Forrest Brewery for a lovely ale.

Otways

I love this coast!  Camping in the Otways over the weekend was amazing. We found a great campsite only a bit over an hour away.  Drive in, collect old pine plantation wood for burning, only problem is all the bogans know about it too! ha! Funny when their music is pumping until 5am and doing burn-outs in utes, nonetheless we slept through most of it.
Young kids having fun, just need some education about campsite etiquette.
We hiked up behind a waterfall (Steveneson's falls) and this is the beautiful stream we found.  What an awesome place.  If you want to know exactly where this is, just message me.
